Major Renovations Update #3

So much has evolved over the past 90 days for myself as both a professional web developer and a musician it wasn’t easy thinking of a good start point for this entry. In fact, it’s hard to believe it’s already the fourth month of 2007! Maybe it’s an April Fool’s Day joke? Okay, probably not. :)

I must first extend my deep heart-felt gratitude to everyone who continue to provide unwavering support for my creative endeavors! This has never been a simple path for me to travel, yet the rewards continue to significantly outweight any discomfort being felt by myself or those who are affected by my life-style, including my friends and clients. Now let’s get down to business!

For Caera Kirsch Designs, this second quarter holds the promise of further portfolio expansion, as well as releasing products for The S.T.O.R.E. and growth in the 101 Reference Desk. LAIDA has been put on hold for the 3rd quarter, but has certainly not been forgotten. Over 15 million people last year had their identity hijacked and that’s a number not to be sniffed at. Hopefully, LAIDA can help reduce these numbers.

As for the music side to life, I’ve been working on the follow-up to “Legends Of Life – Volume I” called “Major Melody Overhall.” While similar to the last concept album revolving around the life and times of its lead character (Lizzie Lou Chambers) while living on the fictitious Terica Islands, Ms. Melody Overhall is already its own unique and entertaining legend. “She’s” already turned on her charms in a slow blues tune called “Affection Connection” and I myself am quite curious what direction “she” will head next. As a quick piece of background info, I threw in the “Major” before her name so that I could develop some type of blend between its musical definition and a storyline that has some authoritative structure to it, such as the military or maybe a small town police force that she was once a member of. I haven’t dedicated too much time to the project but am looking forward to how it unfolds…no matter how long it takes! :)

For those unfamiliar with The Legend Of Life Series back in 2004-2005, it was a group of songs that inspired well over 20,000 pages of essays, poetry, and other miscellaneous scribblings to support the powerful lyrics embedded into the story-like songs and then select documents being published to the Internet. Included in this project was the performing of the music at seemingly “odd” locations, such as sitting inside of gazebos across the state (some of them have amazing natural reverb!), sitting next to a small pond or lake or outside of historical locations. Although there was some general interest in the songs (for which I remain eternally grateful for!), real life began playing a different tune and the concept album was put to rest at the beginning of 2006. Sure, I’ll pull out an LOL – Volume I tune on rare occassion, but instead I hope my fans become as excited about Major Melody Overhall as I am. Just like Lizzie Lou, Major Melody already exists on the Internet, however there is no official container for the materials as of yet. If you are interested in learning more about the project, please contact me at melody@illusions101.com.

So whether you have dropped by to talk about the Wild, Wild Web or you are just checking in to see what melody and bass lines are in the works, thank you for taking a moment to cruise by my virtual home and feel free to leave me a note at anderson@caerakirschdesigns.
